Michael W. Hudson

Michael W. Hudson is a former reporting fellow at The Investigative Fund who covered finance and the economy. He is currently global investigations editor at the Associated Press. He previously was a senior editor at the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, where he worked on the Panama Papers, the Paradise Papers and other cross-border reporting projects. His reporting on predatory lending, offshore money laundering and other financial corruption has shared a Pulitzer Prize, two Overseas Press Club awards and three George Polk awards. He is a former staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal. His work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Le Monde, El Pais, and The Nation. He is author of The Monster: How a Gang of Predatory Lenders and Wall Street Bankers Fleeced America — and Spawned a Global Crisis​ (Times Books, 2010).
